The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce booked me to perform roaming magic at "An Evening Above Valley Forge—Literally," its New Year networking reception held on the 11th floor of Revelle Senior Living in King of Prussia, PA, just outside Philadelphia. More than 70 professionals attended the evening cocktail reception.

A cocktail reception rewards magic that moves. I worked the room in small pockets all evening, and one quieter side room off the main space turned into something I didn't plan: guests kept bringing other guests in to see the magic, and it became the spot people sought out between conversations. That pull — people fetching colleagues to come watch — was my favorite part of the night.
