On June 6, 2026, I performed magic during Cassidy and TJ’s wedding cocktail hour at The Switch House by Cescaphe in Fishtown, Philadelphia.
The photographs on this page show real guest reactions from the wedding. Moments like these come from years of performing, refining material, and learning how to create surprise, laughter, and connection in a live event environment.
To respect the couple’s privacy, I am using only their first names: Cassidy and TJ.

During the cocktail hour, I performed close-up magic for guests in small groups. This style of magic works well during a wedding cocktail hour because it does not require guests to stop the flow of the event, sit down, or gather around a stage.
Instead, the magic happens where guests are already talking, laughing, and enjoying the reception. It gives people a shared experience and creates moments they can react to together.
The photos from Cassidy and TJ’s wedding show exactly the kind of reactions I aim to create: surprise, laughter, and genuine engagement from the guests.

The Switch House by Cescaphe is located in Fishtown, Philadelphia. For a wedding cocktail hour, timing matters because the entertainment has to fit naturally into the schedule of the day.
For this event, I arrived in Fishtown well ahead of the performance time, parked at The Switch House one hour early, confirmed that Cassidy and TJ’s wedding was on the second floor, and located the correct event space before the cocktail hour began.
That allowed me to be ready before the performance time and focus entirely on the guests once the cocktail hour started.
Like many weddings, Cassidy and TJ’s schedule ran a little behind.
I did not shorten the performance or charge extra because of the delay. I started later, stayed later, and made sure they still received the full entertainment time originally planned.
The performance also went slightly overtime when a close-up VIP guest act took place in a private room on the first floor after the cocktail hour.

Below is a thank-you card from Cassidy and TJ, the newly married couple.

A text version of the couple’s feedback is below:
"Jesse, Thank you SO much for being a part of our special day. An amazing surprise you were for us and our guests! Grateful for your talent, professionalism, and care. Appreciate you making our wedding day - June 6, 2026 extremely magical! Love, Cassidy & TJ”
